Total Activity of KOORA Jarrah and Marri Honey
Each batch of honey is lab tested and certified for its antimicrobial rating. At Koora, we always ensure that the antimicrobial rating exceeds that on the Koora Shield on your honey jar label.
Verify your KOORA honey’s certified Total Antimicrobial Activity (TA) rating:
1. Look out for the Koora Shield on the front of our label - TA shows the Total Antimicrobial Activity of the honey. TA+ means the Total Activity that exceeds that which is stated.
2. To find the actual TA of your honey, go to the batch number on the left side of the jar - they should match the number on the test certificates.
What Sets KOORA Honey Apart
What sets KOORA’s Jarrah and Marri honeys apart are their exceptionally high bioactivity/antimicrobial levels. Scientific research shows Jarrah and Marri honeys possess 90% greater antimicrobial potency than average Manuka honey, and up to 3 times the antioxidant content. Our Jarrah with a Total Activity (TA) of 35+ is unmatched by Manuka or any other honey for immunity benefits.
Another huge benefit is both our honey's antimicrobial potency in NOT derived from methylglyoxal (MGO), the active ingredient in Manuka honey, as research has shown "It is undeniable that MGO accumulation has harmful effects on vascular function, by inducing insulin-resistance, hypertension, atherosclerosis, neurodegenerative disease and diabetic microvascular complications.”
Koora Honey is a non-MGO based honey but a peroxide based honey, which means it derives its antimicrobial potency from hydrogen peroxide.
Koora Honey offers way better value than Manuka honey!
Notes:
- Koora honey’s antimicrobial activity is measured by Total Activity (TA) not UMF or MGO, as its antimicrobial activity is not from methylglyoxal (MGO).
- The highest rated Manuka honey is UMF33 (Equiv to TA 33), which sells for about $1,500. The price of UMF28 (Equiv to TA 28) Manuka honey on Amazon is $298 for 8.8 oz!
- KOORA’s Jarrah honey is much better value and eclipses Manuka honey’s antimicrobial, antioxidant and prebiotic properties. And we think it tastes better too!
